Cheyenne Rodriguez
coach for artists
& creative entrepreneurs

Howzit?
I'm Cheyenne Rodriguez.
I am a neuroscientist, an international movement artist, and now coach for artists and creative entrepreneurs.
Like many others, my story is complex, and I am still learning how to tell it. I never thought I would be the one to get stuck. I was ambitious, full of potential, and had experienced great success at an early age. But over the years, the expression “You don’t know what you don’t know,” really sunk in.

My journey taught me thousands of lessons, many of which I learned the hard way, but they all seemed to lead back to this: the way our lives unfold is shaped by unseen forces that influence our choices. I had to learn how to see what was invisible: the thoughts, beliefs, body patterns, boundaries, and values I held that were shaping my decisions. The real challenge of transformation, though, is not just gaining knowledge, but actually integrating it into your life in a way that creates meaningful, lasting change. Getting unstuck wasn’t about being somewhere else or achieving that next thing - it was about creating safety in my body, understanding what I genuinely wanted for myself and from my life, and allowing myself to go after that in my own way. These core elements, along with a few others, are what I have understood through my lived experience to be the guiding principles of creating art that you love, a career you enjoy, and a life that brings you genuine happiness and fulfillment.
I don’t want our stories as artists and creatives to be ones of struggle, poverty, and poor mental health anymore. Artists literally change the world. We shape culture and shift perspectives. The world relies on our art to inform, inspire, and challenge the status quo. That means our work has impact—so when artists heal, the ripple effect reaches far beyond us. Helping heal the artist has the ability to help heal the world. But in order to create sustainably, we need more than talent and passion. We need tools, structures, and resources that support both our art and our livelihood.

I spent over a decade and tens of thousands of dollars searching for answers, filling the gaps in what I needed—not just as an artist, but as a human. This coaching is the culmination of that journey. My work is a holistic program that addresses the unique needs of being an artist and creative entrepreneur, and provides the tools, skills, and resources that are vital to our art and our livelihood. It exists because I know what it’s like to search for guidance and not find it—to have to piece everything together alone. My goal is to make sure you don’t have to.
Brilliant artist, your journey does not end here. If you are feeling stuck, if you are struggling to find your way, if you don’t even know what you want for your life but you know it’s not this moment - there is still a way forward. There is still hope. The way our lives unfold is shaped by unseen forces just as much as our choices. The magic of being an artist, a creator, a dreamer, is that you get to shape what comes next. I am living proof that this work works. It has changed my life. I hope it helps you change yours, too.
Understanding Coaching
About My Coaching Approach
The Coaching Experience
Working With Me
What is coaching?
Having a coach is a game changer because it helps you see what you can’t see on your own. It’s not just about maximizing potential; it’s about uncovering the unconscious ways you limit yourself, play small, and stay stuck in patterns you don’t even realize are holding you back. A coach helps you step outside your own perspective, challenge what feels normal but isn’t necessarily true, and create shifts that make your life not just functional, but deeply aligned, expansive, and fulfilling in ways you may not have even considered possible.Unlike therapy, which often focuses on healing past wounds, coaching is about transformation in the present and future—it’s about stepping into new possibilities. Inside coaching, you learn how to shape your own path, trust yourself as you navigate the unknown, and create momentum towards what you truly want out of life, in your own way.
How do I know if I need a coach,
& when is the best time to start?
The best time to start coaching is when you feel ready to create change—even if you don’t feel fully “ready” in the traditional sense. Many people wait until they feel more confident, clear, or prepared, but the truth is, coaching helps you get there. You don’t need to have everything figured out before starting—you just need a willingness to show up, be open and honest, and try something new - even when it gets uncomfortable. If you feel drawn to coaching but wonder if now is the right time, that might actually be your sign. Your art, your dreams, and your life depend on it.You might want to get a coach if:
you feel stuck, uncertain, or overwhelmed when you try to do the things you love
you have big dreams but struggle with fear, burnout, or imposter syndrome
you want to create but get lost in overthinking, like you’re somehow doing the wrong thing
you feel stuck in survival mode - constantly stressed, on edge, and unable to relax
you feel like you are self-sabotaging or hiding from success - having it is just as scary as not
you are craving something more in your life but don’t know what you want
you are doing everything you can on your own but still haven’t achieved your dreams
you feel unsure of how to get from where you are to where you want to be
you want to create a life that reflects who you truly are
you feel disconnected from your creativity, fulfillment, or personal growth
you have made changes before, only to find yourself falling back into old patterns later
One thing to note: a coach doesn’t play basketball for the players - a coach helps the players create strategies and strengthen their skills so they shine on the court. In this way, a coach can’t change your life for you - but they can help you understand what needs to change and help you change it so that you can create the life of your dreams.
What makes you different from other coaches?
I don’t just coach—I live the process of transformation. I’ve navigated deep uncertainty, creative reinvention, and personal evolution firsthand, which means I don’t approach coaching from an abstract or theoretical place. I understand what it’s like to feel caught between survival and expansion, to crave something bigger while feeling trapped in old patterns. That lived experience gives me a unique ability to meet you where you are, without judgment, and help you move forward in a way that feels both safe and expansive. What makes me unique isn’t just what I do—it’s how I hold space. My presence allows people to be deeply honest with themselves, sometimes in ways they never have before. I have a way of seeing the truth beneath the surface, reflecting it back with clarity, and helping you access the deeper knowing that already exists within you. People don’t come to me for surface-level solutions—they come to me when they want to find deep truths about themselves, when they need someone who can navigate the in-between spaces with them, not just push them toward an outcome.I exist in the intersection of science and magic, logic and intuition, structure and spontaneity. I can guide you through nervous system work and emotional regulation while also helping you tap into the intangible forces that drive your artistry and personal evolution. I see patterns that others might miss, and I help you connect the dots between your inner world and the external shifts you want to create. At the heart of it, what makes me different is who I am—someone who has walked the path of uncertainty, someone who can hold complexity with ease, and someone who is committed to guiding you back to yourself in the most profound way possible.
What is your specialty? How do you help?
I help artists and creatives stop feeling stuck - whether in their heads, their art, or their lives - so they can do what they love without shutting down, confidently create the lives of their dreams, and live out success that feels genuinely fulfilling to them.My work addresses the internal patterns and barriers that slow creatives down by examining your thoughts and emotions, reconnecting you to your body and energy, and deconstructing the blocks that influence and inhibit your creative process, decision-making, and ability to expand. The foundation of my coaching is built on deep, holistic, and integrative support so that you experience change that is tangible and lasting. By getting curious in the face of uncertainty, honest about what you really want, and attuned to your body’s nervous system rhythms, you can expand into and embrace the fullness of your many multitudes to reclaim your own path, your own pace, and your own power. Here are the elements that I work with in order to help you create this change:
• Awareness
- Become aware of your inner experience and notice what’s happening inside you without judgment.
• Attunement + Allowance
- Acknowledge your body in its current state and allow it to exist as it is, without immediately trying to change or fix it. This is the foundation of deep self-trust and transformation.
• Thought Work
- Uncover the thoughts, beliefs, and stories shaping how you see yourself and the world.
- Understand patterns behind your decisions and shift blocks into supportive mindsets.
• Emotional Processing
- Process and release unresolved emotional experiences that continue to replay in your life with tools to help you navigate the full spectrum of human emotions, so you’re not avoiding, suppressing, or being consumed by them.
• Somatic Embodiment + Experiencing
- Your body holds the key to how you experience life. Over time, stress, trauma, and burnout can create chronic nervous system dysregulation.
- This can manifest as anxiety and hypervigilance (always feeling on edge, like you can’t relax) or shutdown and paralysis (feeling stuck, disconnected, and unable to move forward).
- Thought work and emotional processing alone can’t resolve this—your body is asking for attention. Learning to listen to and regulate your nervous system is essential for lasting change.
• Energetic Alignment + Expansion
- Better understand your own energy, what your unique gifts and strengths are, how to use them, and how to decipher which actions to take to support your overall goals.
• Building Sustainable Change Through Grounded, Tangible Action
- Assess your personal capacity for change and risk, break your goals down into bite-size, achievable steps, and take action towards your goals in a manageable and empowered way.
At its core, my coaching is about guiding you back to yourself—your desires, your instincts, your creative vision—so you can move forward with clarity, confidence, and a sense of possibility. I help you stop waiting for permission, stop second-guessing yourself, and start or continue creating what you truly want - on your terms, in your own way.
Who do you work with?
Do I have to be an artist to work with you?
I work with:
Artists feeling stuck in survival mode, ready to move forward but weighed down by fear, doubt, overwhelm, or exhaustion.
Multi-Passionate Creatives who don’t fit into a single box and need support embracing their diverse interests and many sides of themselves.
Creatives looking to generate income through their art, whether as a hobby, side hustle, or full-fledged business.
Artists struggling to reconnect with their creativity after taking time away from their art
Creative Entrepreneurs ready to break through business blocks, expand into new markets, or scale to the next level.
Humans in transition, seeking support as they step into new identities and release old ones.
Please note this is an inclusive, queer-friendly space. You do not have to fully identify as an artist in order to work with me. Creativity comes in limitless forms, and we all express it in our own unique ways. If you feel drawn to this work and resonate with my approach, it’s possible my coaching may be supportive for you.
What do our 1:1 sessions look like?
These sessions, designed for lasting transformation over quick fixes, are fluid and spacious, meeting you where you are to support you in exploring your internal experience at your own pace. As you share what’s present for you, I listen beyond just your words, connecting the dots between past patterns, present challenges, and future possibilities to understand the bigger picture of your growth. I’m not here to judge or diagnose—I’m here to reflect, guide, and help you navigate what’s coming up so you can move forward with more clarity, self-trust, and momentum. Here’s an idea of how they typically flow:
Check-In: Our starting point begins with assessing where you are emotionally, mentally, physically, and energetically through casual conversation and guided questions.
Deep Exploration: We uncover the fears, desires, and patterns shaping your experience.
Subtle Shifts: Through mindset work, nervous system support, and emotional processing, we create internal alignment.
Aligned Action: Every session leads to a clear next step—an insight, action, or new way of approaching something.
Grounded Integration: We wrap up by reinforcing key takeaways, grounding back into your body, and ensuring you leave feeling clear, supported, and equipped to move forward.
Each 1:1 coaching client also receives unlimited support via email in between sessions.
How long do I stay in coaching?
The length of coaching depends on your needs, goals, how deeply you want to integrate change, and the type of program you join. While you’ll likely see shifts early on, for 1:1 coaching, a minimum of six months is recommended to create sustainable change with lasting results.
How do I know when I don’t need coaching anymore?
For me, I see having a coach as an essential part of my wellness and support system. That said, coaching isn’t always a lifelong commitment with the same person. Depending on the type of coaching you seek and the challenges you’re navigating, you may eventually outgrow a particular coach once you’ve integrated what they offer. There may also come a time when coaching no longer feels like the right container for you, or when you desire support in a different way. That’s okay, too. There are many incredible coaches out there, and when the time is right, the right support will always be available to meet you where you are.You may no longer desire coaching when:
You trust yourself to navigate uncertainty without shutting down or second-guessing.
You feel clear on your direction and know how to course-correct when needed.
You’ve built the internal tools to move through resistance, fear, and doubt on your own.
You’re taking aligned action consistently, without needing external validation.
You feel complete with the process and naturally drawn to explore on your own
What is the cost of coaching?
What does it include?
1:1 Coaching
My one-on-one coaching is currently priced at $100 per session, booked in packages of 4 sessions per month (one per week). Each session is 2-hours long and includes unlimited written support in between sessions.I strive to keep my pricing mindful and accessible. To put this into perspective:
At this price point, most coaches only offer group coaching, meaning this level of individualized support is rarely available at this rate.
A single 45-minute therapy session without insurance often costs 1.5x more than a session of coaching with me, but you get only 1/3 of the support.
Most coaches charge thousands per month for one-on-one support.

I currently offer Group Coaching through local arts nonprofit organizations for their members. If you run an arts nonprofit or are a member of one and would like to bring coaching to your community, please send me an email at [email protected]Group Coaching for the general public through Wonderland Coaching is coming soon. My goal is to make this work accessible to the artists and creatives who need it most. I am constantly refining my practice to create the most sustainable and supportive structure for both myself and my clients. That means my pricing and coaching structure may evolve over time. If any changes occur, current clients will receive advanced notice and the option to continue at the new rate, explore a different offering, or pause/end their coaching experience.

This work is an exploration of body and shape in navigating space and the contrast of tension through light and shadow, straight and bent, flow and jut.
I use music to help shape the mood of my photography and expand the emotion for the viewer. For this piece, I was inspired by the artist DjRUM and their song "Creature, Pt.1." This is shared for context and enjoyment only. I did not create this music.

Did you know that you can create art in any kind of mental or emotional state? Maybe to some this is like "duh" but to me I forget it often. After a lifetime of having my emotions policed by others, I have a strained and underdeveloped relationship with my own feelings. It often just feels unsafe to feel. I have come to associate certain emotional states as being the "desired" or "appropriate" ones to create from and others as "not okay." But as someone who struggles with depression and anxiety, I'm rarely in the 'ideal' state to create, and trying to "get there" often only serves to worsen my mental health and push off my creativity even further. There is definitely a time to clear your mind and "get regulated" before proceeding. But often times, for myself, at least, it's about growing the capacity to allow both or many emotions to exist simultaneously in parallel, and let it all be okay. It doesn't have to deter you from creating - it just changes the flavor of your creative act that day. And often times, when I can allow these emotions to coincide together while still showing up to create, I end up working through them and landing in that juicy space of flow and artistic realization that I want to be in.My current challenge is now learning to notice my physical and emotional cues for desire and creation - what is coming up for me when I want to create? Lately this feeling has been frustration, as my desire to create is often in a double bind with resistance, fear, and shame. I am working on softening the barriers to following through on my creative impulses, which have been stifled by mental dispositions acquired from years of trauma. I have learned that my mental health is in a direct feedback loop with my creativity: when I suppress these urges, my depression and anxiety worsen. And the worse my mental state becomes, the more my creativity suffers. I want to allow myself to create when l am pissed off, when I am depressed, when I am sad, when I am happy, or when I am all of these things all at once. Learning how to hold the breadth of emotion that floods my body alongside my acts of creation is my key to artistic self-actualization.((And for those of you wondering how to do that, it is titrated attunement + conditional safety = strengthened capacity. This work is typically best learned through relational partnering with a Safe Other, aka someone else who can guide, support, and mirror you in healthy ways, such as a trusted friend, mental health professional, or experienced coach.))Photos from the cliffsides of Sagres, the tiny town that holds my heart and helped heal me.
